The Life of a Busy Mom

Ditto!

I just got finished reading Tamra's blog, so I thought I'd better tell you about my crazy buzy week. I think that all my weeks are starting to melt into one!! I don't know the difference from Tuesday to Thursday.

Where do I start? Saturday Bryr had his first race of the season on a new track. He raced at the Wild West Nationals at Pleasant Valley Cycle Park. He was soo cute!!!

Once again he was the smallest out there by a long shot, even tho there were 10 kids in the 6 & under class. He took sixth in his first moto and ninth in the second. By the time the second moto came around, he was soooo tired.
Todd and Bryr left at about 5am to get to the track for practice before the race. The girls and I didn't go at that time because I went to a funeral for Pat Hardman (one of Louise's nephews) that one of us needed to attend. Pat was 29 and left a wife and three boys with one on the way. Anyway, it was sad, but they are dealing with it.
Anyway, the first moto was about 10:30am. By the time the second came around, at about 3:45pm, he was sooo tired due to the lack of a nap and was just having fun, not trying too hard or anything. It was ok. He had fun!! and that's the point!

Mothers' Day started out rather slow. I didn't even get a "Happy Mothers Day" until I stepped out the door to go to church at about 8:55 am. It was from my husband. I think all the kids were too tired from the previous day, to remember what day it was. Todd kept up with the tradition of taking my Mothers Day nap for me. I only got about 15 minutes in comparison to his hour and a half. Each one of the kids gave me something they had made in class or at home, and it was nice.

This week has been a blur. I have been up at the school everyday this week, and I will be up everyday pretty much until school gets out. I am on the PTO board, and we are putting on the end-of-the-year field day next week, but this week we have been working on "State the States" where each grade has a different amount of the states or states and capitals to memorize and be tested on. Our school district really doesn't have much of a curriculum for Social Studies in the elementary years (which I have a hard time with), so the PTO does this to help supplement a little.

Tomorrow I finish up with the testing and go with the 5th grade as a chaperone to the bowling alley, the park, and the movie theater to see "Because of Winn Dixie" (the 5th grade read it first, and then are going to see it). Next week, I will go with Cassie's 1st grade classes to the swimming pool, and finish counting and distributing the reading incentive prizes, and prep for and have the year end event. The last week of school, Shiloah has her field trip and we finish everthing up and have the parties, etc.

After school gets out, on June 1st, we prepare to go the Idaho City 100 race that Todd is competing in again this year. He has been working out every morning and riding whenever he can, so I think he'll do well.

It is late and that 4am alarm clock comes early. Thanks for tuning in.
